Maggie Kuang /// Senior Analyst - BNEF

Singapore office

Maggie Kuang is a research analyst with Bloomberg New Energy Finance and has been with the organization since 2006. Currently based in Singapore her research covers clean energy policies, clean energy economics, and investment trends in Southeast Asia.
Prior to relocating to Singapore, Maggie spent a few years in London, primarily involved in research and analysis of equity securities in the global clean energy market. In addition, she played a key role in developing and maintaining the WilderHill New Energy Global Innovation Index and its family indices.
Maggie also spent a year in China to track major investment trends and policy development in China’s clean energy sector.
Fluent both in Chinese and English, Maggie gained her Bachelors degree in Mathematics from Capital Normal University, Beijing, China and a Masters degree in Finance & Financial Law from SOAS, University of London.

Lilian Alves /// Associate - BNEF

São Paulo office

Lilian Alves is an associate at Bloomberg New Energy Finance, leading the coverage for the Latin American region. Based in São Paulo, she oversees analysis on market trends, policy, power and renewable energy, focusing on Brazil, Chile and Central America. Lilian also coordinates research for Latin America and the Caribbean for the Global Climatescope project. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Mount Holyoke College.

Nico Tyabji /// Associate - BNEF

London office

Nico Tyabji is an associate with the EMEA solar team at Bloomberg New Energy Finance, where he coordinates research on Africa for the Global Climatescope project. He has a Masters in International Affairs from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, where he concentrated in energy and climate change policy. Before joining BNEF in 2011, he led a research programme on mitigation strategies at Columbia’s Earth Institute, and has previously worked for the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development in Geneva.
